Mercy Duhaylongsod, Charge Registered Nurse, Hale Kūpuna

What do you do at Hale Kūpuna?

Hi, my name is Mercy Duhaylongsod and I’m a Charge Registed Nurse at Hale Kūpuna.

How did you get interested in the healthcare field?

I was inspired to become a nurse because I wanted to help people in need. Especially my family.

What advice would you have for others interested in a career with Hale Kūpuna or the healthcare field?

My advice to those who want to pursue your dream, work hard and don’t quit.

What does Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month mean to me?

It’s important to recognize different characters such as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month because when all races come together and work together, it makes our world and communities better. Especially in communication and collaborations, it promotes a better service for our kūpuna.

Who or what influenced you to be the person that you are today?

My children are my influence to do good and be better.
