Meet Hilary Heck, Registered Nurse-Clinical Educator

A lady wearing a blue blouse and wearing a plumeria flower in her left ear.
Meet Registered Nurse-Clinical Educator, Hilary Keck for Ohana Pacific Health in the heart of Hawaiʻi Island in Hilo.

What do you do for Workforce Development?

My name is Hilary Keck, RN BSN and I am the Clinical Educator for Ohana Pacific Health located in Hilo, on the Big Island.

What do you do outside of work?

I spend my time outside of work being as active as possible with my husband, seven-year-old son, and our two dogs. Outside of work and family, I love learning new skills, and I am currently remodeling my house on my own.

How did you get interested in workforce development/education?

I wanted to pursue a career in nursing education because of my own experience with educators as a student. It was always impactful when I had an educator that put time and effort into education.

What do you love most about your role?

My job is more of a calling to serve and inspire new generations of healthcare professionals. I love seeing my Nurse Aide and Bridge Program students succeed, both in the program and beyond graduation.
