KAUA‘I ADULT DAY HEALTH
Kauaʻi Adult Day Health Center, located in Lihue, on the island of Kauaʻi, provides a supervised daytime program for adults with impairments and Kūpuna in a supportive and protective environment. Our goal is to help disabled adults remain at home and in their community while maintaining or improving their functional level. Our objectives are to keep our elderly or impaired adults as independent as possible, allowing them to do as much for themselves as possible and choose the activities that appeal to them.
Physical exercises, creative crafts and therapeutic recreational activities are regularly scheduled. Occupational and physical therapy consultants prescribe specific exercises and activities as appropriate. Special events include weekly shopping trips, picnics, excursions, entertainment, holiday and birthday parties.
In addition to recreational and social activities we provide nutritious snacks and meals and rest periods. Transportation is coordinated with the County of Kauaʻi, Agency on Elderly Affairs on a space available basis.
Family members are welcome to participate and interact with their loves ones and other program participants.
